PROJECTS
On 12 June 2024, the Josip Juraj Strossmayer Water Institute and the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) signed a Partnership Agreement for the implementation of the project “Strengthening the System for Monitoring Climate Change and Its Consequences (KlimProPos)”. Through its implementation, both institutions will significantly enhance their capacities to support Croatia’s adaptation to increasingly frequent and intense meteorological and hydrological extremes caused by climate change. The KlimProPos project will contribute to strengthening the Institute’s capacities to provide trainings for employees of public suppliers of water supply services, support the digitisation and development of the Institute’s information system, improve monitoring capabilities for eutrophication and salinity, and advance research into the presence, characterization, and types of microplastics in surface waters.
