Right to access information

The right of access to information, as defined by the Act on the Right of Access to Information, applies to existing and available information, that is, information that already exists in a materialised form. 

The legal definition does not impose an obligation on public authorities to respond to inquiries, draft statements, provide interpretation or create new information.

The right of access to information is exercised in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Right of Access to Information (OG 25/2013NN 85/2015 i NN 69/22).

Ordinance on the Types and Content of Licences Defining the Conditions for the Re-use of Information (OG 67/2017).

Public authorities are entitled to reimbursement of actual material costs incurred in providing access to information, in accordance with the Criteria for Determining the Amount of Actual Material Costs and Information Delivery Costs (OG 141/2022).

The right of access to information and re-use of information held by the Josip Juraj Strossmayer Institute for Water can be exercised by submitting a request through one of the following methods:
