Water issues are part of everyday life. People are interested in a wide range of topics, from water quality and modern analytical methods to emerging challenges affecting the aquatic environment.

One of the key missions of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer Water Institute is to make expert knowledge about water accessible to the public in a clear, reliable and scientifically grounded way. This is the aim of the Croatian Radiotelevision feature filmed in the Institute’s laboratories.

In the feature, Prof. Mirna Habuda Stanić, PhD, explains how modern analytical methods provide reliable data and why professional procedures, laboratory analyses and quality control are essential for producing trustworthy results. Viewers also have the opportunity to step inside the laboratory and gain insight into the scientific work behind the data and explanations about water.

The feature was produced as part of the “Water Without Misconceptions” project, through which the Institute provides the public with expert explanations about water and contributes to a better understanding of issues that are essential for the protection and sustainable management of water resources.

We invite you to watch the feature and discover how scientific expertise is transformed into accessible information that helps people better understand water.
