Notice to Candidates Applying for Employment at the Institute

The Josip Juraj Strossmayer Water Institute is continuing the implementation of the public recruitment procedure announced on 8 May 2026 on the Institute’s website, the website of the Croatian Employment Service, and the MojPosao portal.

In order to enable candidates to prepare in a timely manner for the next stage of the recruitment process, the Institute is publishing general information on the areas that will be covered by the written examination conducted as part of the candidate selection procedure for applicants who meet the formal requirements of the public recruitment announcement.

The written examination will include the assessment of professional knowledge and competencies related to the Institute’s activities, as well as the legislative, regulatory, and methodological framework relevant and adapted to the position for which the candidate is applying. This includes areas such as water management, monitoring, laboratory activities, labour relations, and public procurement.

As part of the selection procedure, additional assessments of professional, organizational, communication, and analytical competencies may also be conducted, depending on the nature of the duties and the requirements of the position.

The written examination for candidates who meet the formal requirements of the public recruitment procedure is scheduled for 2 June 2026, starting at 18:00, in the Main Lecture Hall of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Zagreb, Trg Marka Marulića 19, Zagreb.

Regardless of this notice, candidates meeting the formal requirements will also be individually contacted by email in due time and provided with all relevant information related to the testing procedure, including any potential changes regarding the schedule, venue, or other organizational aspects of the recruitment process.
